SBL is a great place to make new friends and to enjoy everything sci-fi, fantasy and gaming related amongst like-minded individuals. This group accepts anyone, as long as they are 18+ and prepared to be kind and have fun.<\/p><h3><strong>What we do:<\/strong><\/h3><p>We meet every month, for a variety of events both for our members and by our members and have even started our own book club! Regular events include quizzes, creative writing , boardgames, Cinema trips, Console and gaming nights and more. We also encourage our members to contribute and run ideas of their own.<\/p><ul><li><p>Third Friday of each month: Regular event at the Secular Hall<\/p><\/li><li><p>Last Sunday of the month: Book Club<\/p><\/li><li><p>Second Saturday: Digital day over on our Discord<br \/><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>We also take on some more extreme events like the <strong>Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge<\/strong> in aid of the British Red Cross. In 2023 we walked and cycled <strong>1779 miles!\u00a0<\/strong>The same distance Frodo and Sam travelled with the One Ring between Hobbiton and Mount Doom and we actually smashed the target going over 2000 miles for Loros! 2024 saw us head to the North Pole! Well the distance at least an epic 2630.62 miles! (target was 2581.7).
